Francis Clara Censordoll is the librarian of Thomas Bowdler Library and an overarching antagonist.

Personality[]

Ms. Censordoll is an egotistical and self-righteous woman who plans to rule over Moralton someday. She is often seen picketing or burning anything that she deems unholy, ranging from The Wizard of Oz to hors d'oevres. Despite the nature of her chosen issues, Censordoll is intelligent and can manipulate others to enforce her views.

She has an affinity for eggs, specifically the undercooked and slithery ones. This stems from her infancy, when her mother removed her reproductive parts. She also loves using fire to "cleanse" any impurities from her library.

Despite championing for the big man upstairs, Censordoll is willing to use whatever sinful means necessary to achieve her goals, including manipulation and adultery. She prefers to use religion to keep Moralton's citizens in line more than anything else.

History[]

Ms. Censordoll was likely given a oophorectomy when she was still a child, causing her to rapidly age as a side effect. This fostered resentment against her mother in Censordoll's later years.

She used threats to keep Clay Puppington, the town's mayor, in line. These threats made Clay introduce Orel to Christianity. In "Offensiveness," she tried to use Orel's faith as a recruitment tactic, but this backfired when Orel and the rest of her group successfully pushed to outlaw eggs.

In "Alone," Censordoll enacted a scheme that would make her the mayor. When she caught wind of Clay's Oedipus complex, she shifted gears in order to seduce him.

Relationships[]

Clay Puppington

Clay was her opponent in her mayoral campaign. She would often threaten Clay if he didn't follow her demands. When she noticed that Clay yearned for a mother figure, Censordoll forfeited her campaign and seduced him in an oedipal manner.

Orel Puppington

Ms. Censordoll views Orel as an impressionable chump. This backfired, however, when she and Orel ended up protesting together since he had the bright idea to outlaw layed eggs.

Reverend Putty

She has very little respect for Reverend Putty, believing that she is more qualified to sermonize over Moralton.

Farmer Phoneycrops

He provides Ms. Censordoll's eggs in exchange for "party favors". She has no attachment to him.

Mother

Ms. Censordoll holds a grudge against her mother for making her barren. Her mother seems to have an overprotective relationship with her, calling her every day.

Trivia[]

Waste gallery 17 This section contains speculation. Please keep this in mind as you read it.
  • Had the series continued:
    • She would have an affair with Clay and eventually usurp his position.
    • It would be revealed that she used voodoo to control certain characters' actions, but to what extent is unknown. Clay accuses her of "making him" shoot Orel in the "Nature" duology, but this could also be him deflecting blame from himself, as he tends to do.
  • A test animation has Ms. Censordoll report Clay's assassination. It's unknown if this scenario would have made it into the show, and if so, how much she was involved in it.
  • Her last name refers to how she censors media and is a corruption of "censored all."
  • Her initials reference the Federal Communications Commission.
