Jay Johnston (born October 22, 1968) is an American actor, comedian and co-creator of Moral Orel. Johnston (along with Dino Stamatopoulos and Scott Adsit) was involved in voicing, writing, directing and producing Moral Orel. Johnston, Stamatopoulos and Adsit reunited for a new stop-motion series called Mary Shelley's Frankenhole, which began airing on June 27, 2010 and ended on March 25, 2012.

During the production of season 3, he was unavailable to voice his characters, leaving Adsit and David Herman to replace him. He returned to voice Joe and Karl in the episodes "Dumb" and "Closeface" respectively.

He is also known for appearing in Mr. Show with Bob and David, The Sarah Silverman Program, Arrested Development and Bob's Burgers. He was fired from the latter series due to participating in storming the US Capitol on January 6 2021.

  • "Johnston" is often used in-universe as a penile euphemism, as well as the Johnston & Johnston brand on Klum-Z bandages, and the Tiny Johnston's Toothpick Sander in "Numb".
