Each setting in Moral Orel is listed here.

Statesota F3B7

Statesota, as seen in the show's title sequence

Earth[]

While the planet Earth presented in Moral Orel is similar to ours, The United States of America is shown as the only nation in North America. This is likely a satirical design choice mocking nationalism, considering that the rest of the continent is seen on actual maps in the show.

Moralton, Statesota.[]

Moralton is the main setting of the show and the capital of Statesota, a fictional state that sits between Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, Also in the name of this state there is a reference to "state" and "sota" of Minnesota, with the show's intro positioning the town near Burlington, Kansas. Religious fundamentalism bleeds into all aspects of the town, from its schools to nature trails, yet the town reeks of sinful behavior.

Despite the show ostensibly taking place around the time the show aired, Moralton is a walking anachronism reminiscent of 1950s suburbia; pay phones dot every street, families gather around the radio every night, and prejudiced white people are on every corner.

The ending of "Geniusis" suggests that, if its religious dogma is left unchecked, Moralton will become the only city, state and country on Earth in a million years.

Moralton's name refers to "Moral" and "Ton" from "Town", meaning "Town of Moral"

Education[]

Alfred G. Diorama Elementary School

Children across Moralton go to this school for their daily dose of indoctrination. Schoolwide activities are managed by Principal Fakey, who has no investment in a student's future. Ms. Sculptham is one of the bored-out-of-her-skull teachers there, as well as Reverend Putty when teaching science once a month. Other staff members include Nurse Bendy, Ms. Secondopinionson (receptionist) and Clicky (janitor).

Diorama Elementary's athletic team is the Fighting Vanishing Americans, headed by Coach Stopframe. It's notable for its performances in track and the annual Praying Bee, and Orel Puppington was one of their best athletes.

The school is also notable for holding the annual Arm's Length Dance, which all children can attend regardless of grade level, as well as mayoral debates during campaign season.

Thomas Bowdler Library

Moralton's books - the ones not burned by Ms. Censordoll and her cronies, anyway - are kept here for public use. How they're sorted depends on standards of Moralton and Ms. Censordoll's whims, as On the Origin of the Species was classified as a fictitious book before the whole section burned down.

Religion[]

God's Favorite Protestant Church

This place of worship is at the exact center of both Moralton and the USA. Reverend Putty conducts all religious activities there, and his sermons can draw most of Moralton to the building every Sunday.

Health[]

St. Martin Luther's Protestant Hospital

This is the town's hospital. Dr. Potterswheel attempts to treat his patients here. Nurse Bendy's his assistant and receptionist. Before he retired, Dr. Secondopinionson was a renowned doctor here.

Ray Cohn Memorial Blood Bank

Another medical facility in Moralton solely for blood donations and transfusions. Dr. Potterswheel heads this facility.

Residences[]

Many of Moralton's streets are surrounded by modest suburban houses. The Figurellis own a large mansion somewhere in town.

The Bachelor Arms

This well-kept apartment complex is reserved for single men in Moralton. Coach Stopframe lives there.

Aloneford Apartments

In contrast, Aloneford is for single women. It's a dark, drab apartment complex where Florence Papermouth, Dottie Trophywife, Stephanie Putty and many others live.

Businesses[]

Sal's Corner Store

This department store is owned and operated by Sal Figurelli. Orel was a delivery boy during the events of "Charity." Ms. Censordoll frequents the place to eat raw eggs on the house.

Forghetty's Pub

This bar teems with patrons no matter the time of day. Dolly Forghetty owns and operates it, and some frequent visitors include Clay Puppington, Coach Stopframe and Officer Papermouth.

Buried Pleasures

Stephanie runs this store for lewd merchandise. Orel cleans up the place on occasion.

All You Can Eatery

It's a buffet that Florence goes to on occasion.

Le Fancy Sign

A fancy restaurant seen few times during the show.

Pizza Jo's

An Italian restaurant. Their gift certificates seem to be a popular gift around Christmas, thanks to its pervasive advertising.

Farmer Phoneycrops' farm

Farmer Phoneycrops grows plants and animals here to slaughter or sell for a profit.

The Glory Hallelujah Hole

This establishment is for BDSM enthusiasts around Moralton. Several rooms are dedicated to re-enacting Biblical scenes for the participants' arousal.

Ripperly's Believe It or Else!

A private museum that spouts Christian propaganda. It contains a gift shop.

The Hiding Palace

A place for couples to have sex. Principal Fakey frequents it with Nurse Bendy.

Morbidly + Sized Clothing Store

A clothing store for patrons like Florence.

Nohammer's Hardware

Mr. Nohammer runs this hardware store, which feels obligated to remind everyone that it stocks hammers. Various women seem to use the cylindrical tools here for sexual arousal.

Barber shop

A local barber that seems to have a rivalry with the flower shop.

Flower shop

A local florist that seems to have a rivalry with the barber shop.

Government[]

Mayor's office

Clay Puppington runs this place and, by proxy, the rest of Moralton.

Police headquarters

This is where Officer Papermouth and his cohorts convene, as the name implies.

Nature[]

Moralton National Park

A park runs through Moralton where nature is kept on as tight of a leash as possible. Areas of interest include a wide open clearing for picnics, a nature trail, a few camping spots and Inspirational Point (a parking lot where many couples have sex).

Joseph McCarthy Blacklist Forest Preserve

During the events of "Loyalty," two gay children resided here.

Moralton Zoo

Much like the town's park, Moralton Zoo has little respect for the animals it takes responsibility for. Patrons can eat at the Elerant Restauphant during their visit.

Moralton Nature Reserve

A largely untouched forest for camping and hunting. It's one of the rare places where Moralton's diverse ecosystem is on fully display - bears, pheasants, deer, rabbits and cranes all live there.

Moralton Public Pool

Moralton's overcrowded pool is shown in God's Image, with a large sign prohibiting the Figurellis from entering.

Other[]

Fading Smiles Cemetery

This is where Moralton buries the departed. Orel and Doughy raised the dead here.

667 Pitchfork Lane

Satanists, headed by Flygron, gather here to party and have orgies.

Other towns and cities[]

Sinville, Statesota.[]

Sinville is like the polar opposite of Moralton: a polite, tolerant neighborhood where partying and sinful behavior is on full display. The town itself is decorated as if for a festival, with tinsel and lights everywhere.

Madame Grinmaker's Blisshouse

It appears to be a brothel. Orel gathers prostitutes from here during the events of "Presents for God."

Arthur Puppington's farm

He tends to animals here, including chickens and horses. It is unknown whether [1]Passing takes place here or Arthur moved here sometime afterwards.

China Food Town[]

A segregated neighborhood that's implied to be populated by Chinese-Americans. White people from Moralton sometimes go to Polite Charlie's, a tasteless restaurant there.

Soul Food Town[]

A segregated neighborhood that's populated by African-Americans.

Otherton, Statesota.[]

Aside from Dr. Chosenberg coming from there, nothing else is known about Otherton. The name of the town and the intelligent, sane resident we see suggest it to be some kind of foil to Moralton.

Paris, France[]

Doughy takes Ms. Sculptham there during the events of "Courtship."
